When it comes to makeup I have always been someone who sticks with what I know. I used the same products for YEARS. When I started on my journey to clean living and learning more about how toxins can impact our overall health I decided to look at switching all of my makeup. This was probably one of the hardest lifestyle changes for me! (Real quick I want to add in that I have slowly been replacing products for more non-toxic things I love, but there are still plenty of things I use that aren’t “clean” that I am still working on finding a more non-toxic alternative for) Anyways, I decided to make the big switch and I honestly love the makeup I use now even more. I wear it everyday and never ever break out!
How I made the switch!
In Legacy West in Plano there is a store called Credo. Everything they carry is clean and non-toxic and free of tons of ingredients that they feel can be harmful to you! They offer a free service where you can go in and bring all of your makeup that you have and they will help you find an equivalent cleaner version. I tried several brands of different things, but I have always overall come back to the brand ilia. I think the quality is great and you don’t have to sacrifice quality to be non-toxic!
Okay now for my makeup routine!
Quick Note – I put everything in order of what I would purchase first to last. I know it can be expensive to switch out and try all new makeup products at once.
My ALL TIME favorite thing the make is their mascara! This was the hardest thing for me to find a clean version! I tried so many different brands and this was by far my favorite. If you were going to invest in one thing from them this is definitely it!
Click to ShopI have two foundations I switch back and forth between. The first one is the skin tint serum! I use this one everyday! It is my go to light coverage & I love that it has SPF in it!

Click to ShopThe concelear is great for those dark circles! Especially the ones I have right now with a newborn!!
Click to ShopThe last thing that should be at the top of your list to try is the multi-stick! I use it for blush, but you can also throw it on as a lipstick! They have a great normal lipstick too! But, this items is versatile & I really notice a difference when I wear it!
